This blog will be a series of entries of our daily life at "Cielo y Tierra" and of our family and friends that come and share our small corner of "heaven" here in El Salvador. A Chinese poet many centuries ago noticed that to re-create something in words is like being alive twice. Hopefully, we can achieve that with this journal. Enjoy!!

This is a Cashew Tree "Maranon." The fruit is the red part and it is a little tart. The seed on the bottom is roasted and it is where we get "cashews."

These are geraniums. We have made these baskets out of the wood of coffee trees. When the trees no longer produce coffee, you can use the wood to create decorarive items.

These gorgeous plant is called "Antorcha" (torch). It is grown throughout El Salvador at high altitudes. They grow about 12ft. high
